The Clinton™ 4-5500 Small Up/Down Rehabilitation Staircase is a compact physical therapy staircase designed for gait training, mobility rehabilitation, balance exercises, and functional stair training. Its straight configuration allows patients to ascend and descend without turning, making it an excellent solution for physical therapy clinics, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other treatment environments where floor space is limited.

Designed for durability and patient safety, the 4-5500 features an all-hardwood plywood base, powder-coated steel uprights, rigid bolt-through mounted handrails, steel fasteners, and reinforced underside construction. Comfort-grip molded solid hardwood handrails provide patients with secure support during stair training, while full-width safety treads help improve footing throughout rehabilitation exercises.

The staircase incorporates two different step heights to provide greater versatility for progressive rehabilitation. One side uses a 6" step height, while the opposite side uses 4" step heights, with a 12" high center platform connecting the two sides. Available in 30" and 36" widths, the Clinton™ 4-5500 supports patients up to 500 lbs. under normal use.
